This first-person shooter follows the Walker family and their elite U.S. Special Operations unit, the Ghosts, as they combat a post-apocalyptic threat from the Federation after a global catastrophe. Players control multiple characters, including Logan Walker, his father Elias, and a military dog named Riley, in both single-player missions and cooperative modes. The game includes standard multiplayer and a separate mode called *Extinction*, which features a sci-fi narrative about humanity fighting ancient creatures.
