Players control Ralph and his mercenary team, exploring a large open world, managing party members, and switching job classes while engaging in real-time combat using an ATB system. The plot follows a young boy, the last Gem Warrior, who seeks to reclaim his heritage and free the world while uncovering the fate of his father.
