This is an action shooter game featuring a new campaign titled *Hivebusters* in the *Gears 5* series. Players control a squad called Scorpion, tasked with a high-risk mission to destroy a Locust Hive as part of a covert operation. The story follows returning characters Kait, Del, and Marcus, who seek redemption while advancing a desperate plan to save Sera.
