Set in 2071, the game follows a customizable protagonist fighting monstrous Aragami organisms with God Arcs, weapons derived from Aragami cells. Players complete timed missions either solo or cooperatively, using a transforming weapon that switches between blade, gun, and shield modes while managing stamina and Oracle Points. The Resurrection version, a remaster of the original, introduces additional mechanics such as the Predator mode.
