This is a fighting game featuring one-on-one combat with a focus on gore elements. Players control one of seven characters, each with similar stats but slight ability variations, using a unique control scheme combining buttons and eight-directional joystick movements to execute attacks. The story follows Liu Kang, a monk who enters the Mortal Kombat tournament to defeat Shang Tsung and his ally Goro, ultimately aiming to save the world.
