A first-person puzzle game, *Portal* involves navigating test chambers by firing portals to solve environmental challenges. The player controls Chell, a test subject in an Aperture Science facility, uncovering the facility's secrets through environmental clues while avoiding the antagonistic AI, GLaDOS. Gameplay alternates between methodical puzzle-solving and tense, time-sensitive progression.
