Set in a post-apocalyptic 22nd-century Earth following an asteroid impact, the game follows Walker, a wasteland ranger with supernatural abilities, as he battles the tyrannical Authority. Core gameplay combines first-person shooting with vehicular combat, switching to third-person when driving, and features an Overdrive system that rewards aggressive combat tactics. The single-player campaign is supplemented by a multiplayer mode in a world filled with mutants, gangs, and scattered settlements.
