Second Chance is a first-person narrative adventure game centered on time travel, choice, and consequence. The player, acting as a time operative, must manipulate the actions of six housemates in the week leading up to a fatal house fire in May 2015, ensuring their survival without directly preventing the event. The game allows free exploration of the seven-day timeline, enabling repeated viewing and alteration of events to achieve different outcomes, with decisions carrying varying degrees of impact on the characters' futures.
